LDC Round 4: Santiago Fenix lose their first game against Immortals

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Santiago Fenix (2-1) at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were edged by Immortals (3-0) 102-99. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Santiago Fenix. It was a key game for the top position in the league. They outrebounded Santiago Fenix 50-30 including a 24-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. Immortals looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Ameth Gil (191-88) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 6 rebounds and guard Oliver Garcia (188-96, agency: Ballerz Unlimited LLC) who added 20 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. At the losing side guard Yensi Jimenez (189-98) responded with 29 points and 5 rebounds. Immortals have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 3-0 record. Santiago Fenix at the other side keeps the second place with one game lost. Immortals will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Five Capitanes and four Los Pepines players scored in double figures.
